Sephirot is a new system that will aloud you to further enhance your skills customization.
Sephirot System
The interface for the system is available below the minimap. There is going to be a special lvl35 yellow quest leading to unlock this particular system. As you can see on the screenshot above, the system resembles a tree with 3 distinct branches intersecting with each other by lines. Those branches represent different approaches, so to speak, to the progression of your playstyle in the game: Chase, Mind, Dexterity. Each branch has its own unique concept to it, as well as a number of different talents, including different ultimate abilities.
To grow the tree you require a special type of experience, exclusively available in the content of Dimensional Portals. Mosts of the time this means you would have to farm monsters in Rift locations. Gaining Sephirot levels you get talents points to spend activating certain talents within the tree.
There is a special scroll to reset talent points spent in the system:
Those scroll can be bought in the Gearshop, as well as gained as rewards for various activities within the system of Dimensional Portal content.
The system itself has seasons to it. This means each 3 months the Sephirot is going to be reset, nullifying all the experience, levels and talent points gained, thus leading to a new season that can have completely different branches to explore. However, there is a special system called Engraving, one that allows you to use talents of the previous season while already being into the next one (for the moment, there are no explanations given regarding how exactly this system works).
Types of Talents
There are 4 types of talents:
- Starting: there are 3 starting talents, you can activate one of them across all three branches
- Minor: these talents are represented by small white dots on the lines. They provide certain parameters according to the concept of their dedicated branches.
- Major: these talents are represented by round icons between the lines.
- Transcendent: final talents represented by round icons on top of each branch. There are a total 9 transcendent talents, 3 per branch. You can only activate one of them across all three branches. Such talents would also require special items (stones) that grant the ability to unlock the talent for further activation with talent point (for the moment it is unknown how exactly those stones can be acquired, but it can be fairly assumed they also can be acquired in the content of Dimensional Portals).
One can notice that intersections between branches allow you to pick talents of multiple branches at once, excluding starting and transcendent ones.
